Growing pains

Growing up i remember hearing the term growing pains. I even remember the sit com that use to air on Televisions called Growing pains. I never really stopped to think exactly what that meant until recently. It hit me, growing pains isn't just a slogan with no meaning behind.

Growing pains are not just experienced during our young childhood years. I believe when you truly give Christ your life, you experience growing pains. I believe we think once we truly give God our lives and begin to walk out this faith walk with God, POOF we are made brand new and everything becomes so easy! NOT by a long shot!

We have become costumed to doing things our own way, we say what we want, do what we want, go where we want, eat what we want, and just live our lives exactly how we want day in and day out. We are creatures of habit and anytime we feel like our normal is being disrupted, it makes us uneasy and we immediately go into defense mode. This is where we will begin to experience the growing pains!

When we truly give God our lives, he will come in and rearrange things just as they need to be so that we can walk out HIS plan for our lives just as it needs to be walked out and if he doesn't get rid of the US and how WE do things, we i know God knows that we will make a mess of what he's trying to get accomplished in the earth realm.

God comes in and renews our mind, he restores our soul, we must fast often, we must develop a prayer life which will require us to shut off the noise of life. God wants quality time, he wants dedication, he wants us to be completely transformed and renewed and that my dear friend will cause some growing pains. God wants to develop us, he wants to equipt us, he wants to break us free from the sinful life that has us bound. Just like a drug addicted person going into rehab, first comes the shakes, then the shivers, then the nausea and vomiting, then he begins to feel some type of releif and before you know it he has gone through his withdrawal state, his growing pains that took him from a place of wanting it so bad that his body was fighting against him getting healthy to a place of ok now my body has caught up with the will to want to live that comes from the mind.

Remember in your growing pain season, the withdrawals don't last always and soon you will come out better on the the other side. Don't give up in this process, because if you do you will never experience real true freedom of living healthy whole fulfilled life! Go through to get to the other side of victory! and see how sweet life really is.

I love you my friend,
