So How do I Surrender to Christ...

I use to think that surrendering my life to christ was hard. I was confused on "HOW' i was suppose to do it. I mean, i grew up in church and my grandparents were pastors. We were in church every time we got in the car and went around the corner! Literally. I am so blessed to have had grand parents and parents that made sure we knew who God was! But just because they wanted to badly to raise us right, didn't mean we wouldn't go astray and try to do "our own thing" but it did mean that they knew that if we did..................We would be back!

I can sit here and tell you exactly what made me go running back to God, I can tell you the hurt that i was feeling, the emptiness i felt. I can also tell you that if it had not been for Gods love, my parents and grand parents prayers and obedience to God in raising us to know God i honestly don't know where is would be right now today at this very second. But what happens when your parents do all that was right in making sure you knew who God was, but you felt like he was so far away from being reached......This exactly how i felt, but something in me said God, if you are who i have herd you to be..I need you to show me.

So what is Surrender, and how do you do it? For me Surrender is not just one thing, its truly not about your "Works" its actually about you lifting up your hands, opening up your heart, letting go of your own will and your own ways that have gotten you no where and saying God i surrender, i give up my will for yours, i give up my life in exchange for the life you already have planned for me. Surrendering is about seeking Gods face daily, Saying yes to Gods perfect will for your life. Surrender is about staying in Gods presence, staying in his word, letting Go.....Totally and completely letting go. Surrender is about staying in the process and trusting God even when it feels like nothing is going right. Surrendering means being safe in the masters arms......

Heavenly Father, i come to you as your daughter as your vessel doing what you have called me to do. I ask that the woman who has clicked on this blog, looking for a personal relationship with you, that you show her you God. I ask God that you wrap your loving arms around her and saturate her with you love. God let her know that she is not alone, but you have been there all along waiting for her to run, run into your arms so that you can show her exactly who you are God., so that you can show her who SHE is. God with out you we are nothing we can do nothing. God for the woman who is broken inside, let her know God that you can and will pick up the pieces to her broken heart and put them back together again. God i thank you for your faithfulness, i thank you for love. God i thank you for your power to change lives so that they will be forever changed.....These things i ask in your son Jesus name, Amen.

Surrender, Its a beautiful thing.........
