2019 Not by might!

January 2nd! Wow! this is the second day in 2019. Now that all of the dust has settled, the trees are being taken down, family is has left from visiting family all around the world, the kids are getting prepared to return to school after a long break, many have returned back to work, the New Years eve Hype has dissipated and you're thinking to yourself.......Now what? It's 2019 and back to reality. Your intentions were to write out goals for 2019 but life got busy for the holidays. What do you do now? Here's what you can do.
Surrender! Its not by might not by Power but by Gods Spirit will you experience Real Change!
Take out a pen and pad and sit quietly before the Lord. Invite God in, he wants to be apart of your life. Write down your hopes, your dreams, your fears, your failures and be honest with God. Where do you want to see yourself at the end of this year? Tell God. What has stopped you in the past from getting there? Tell God that as well and how can you reach your goals? ask him for instruction and clarity. But most importantly How are you going to allow God to intervene so that you not only have an experience for just a few weeks or months to come but you allow God in to give you the real Breakthrough that you need to pursue purpose.
See what i have learned in my faith walk with Christ is this, only what we do for him is going to last and only when we start to be obedient to his instructions will begin to experience true change, and real freedom! It won't be in your own might, it won't be in your own power but real change, freedom, and the chance to experience a whole life will come by Gods spirit renewing everything about you!
Can i honestly sit here today and say that i am a Different person than i was two days ago? NO! but i can say that i am allowing God to reconstruct what i have messed up. I am allowing God to fix what i have broken. I am allowing God to change my character. I am allowing God to have his way in my life because i know that greatness lives on the inside of me. I know that i let distractions be the ruler of my life long enough and i know that where God is trying to take me, i can't get there if i don't let him have is way completely in my life.
So what are you waiting on to experience the real FREEDOM? Yes! It's true, God will come in and take over as he meets you right there, right where you are but only if you will give him the access!
