Only God can teach love

What happens when your looking and searching for love, yearning for voids to be filled that cant necessarily be filled by a man or a woman. Do we ask too much out of those we Think should love us when the reality is we dont even know how to love ourselves properly. Do we hold the standards so high that as soon as they fail us we tred above water trying to breath because it has literally knocked the wind out of us. Why is it that we run from the very one who can heal our hurts, pains, and insecurities and teach us how to really love ourselves so that way we can see love when we meet it. Maybe its that we are so comfortable in our insecurities that we go looking for love in those with the same insecurities not knowing that, that could be a bomb waiting to explode. I remember getting into relationships looking for love in all of the wrong places.

What ive learned since truly surrendering my life to christ is that, Only God can first teach us what real love is, then he can deal with our insecurities, our fears, our feeling of worthlessness because hes won us over with his love. Once we've been healed and delivered and we really know what love is because now we love ourselves enough to see Red flags and run then and only then are we capible of knowing love, real love, love thats not set on the foundations of conditions, love that doesnt play on your insecurities. We will really be able to Meet and embrace love because we are now at a place where we truly love ourselves.

I leave you with this, Never make a person responsible for loving you when you dont love yourself. Take the iniciative to say God before i go messing this all up, i surrender my everything to you, and i ask you to teach me, show me how to love myself then ill be able to enter into relationships knowing first how not only to love myself but what love really is and what ive learned is, love is truly a beautiful thing.....God taught me love....
